Online Meditation

and Qigong

This online class meets on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and explores balancing the mind and body through breathing, visualization, mindfulness, and movement. The class is live-streamed on Zoom and recorded so that you can attend live, via the recordings at a more convenient time, or both. Unlimited access to each recording is available for two weeks after the class is held.

The 10-week 2023 Fall Session runs from September 27 - December 6 (no class on November 22). You are welcome to join mid-session.

Over the course of the calendar year, the class explores the Daoist practice of living in harmony with the yin and yang of seasonal change. The class also delves into additional ways to align ourselves with the seasons through sleep, diet, and mindset. Since winter is the most yin of all the seasons—a season of dormancy and reflection—classes in the winter session have a greater focus on meditation and the more introspective forms of Qigong. Spring and fall sessions contain a combination of meditation and Qigong that flows with the seasonal change, while during the summer—the most yang of all the seasons—we focus on Qigong and the more energetic meditation postures.

If you have already enrolled in another class for the upcoming session, registration for this class is available at a 10% discount.

Our registration system will ask you for a password to access the registration page. If you are a currently enrolled student, you will find the password in the registration email that you received. If you are a new student, please contact Lisa Rawson at 914-815-1922 before registering.

Note that this class pairs well with our Online Balance Class, which works on improving physical balance. Together, the two classes create a comprehensive balance program for body and mind.
