The Westchester Tai Chi Center is the largest Tai Chi school in Westchester County. It continues a long tradition of quality Tai Chi instruction at the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital that stretches back to 1995. Burke has been recognized as an Authorized Teaching Center by the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association, which means that Burke's facilities and the Center's programs have met the ATCQA's highest standards. The Center's programs draw on Taoist concepts and take a traditional approach to teaching the internal arts.
Lisa Rawson is the founder and director of the Westchester Tai Chi Center and its lead instructor. She is certified by the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association and has advanced training in a number of the internal arts, including Yang Style Tai Chi, Qigong, Dao Yin, Traditional Tai Chi Stick and Saber, and Meditation.
