Online Tai Chi

Balance

This online class meets on Fridays from 10:00-10:45 a.m. and focuses on improving your physical balance through Qigong, Tai Chi form, and Tai Chi movements adapted to become even more balance-specific. The class is live-streamed on Zoom and recorded so that you can attend live, use the recordings at a more convenient time, or both. Unlimited access to each recording is available for two weeks after the class is held.

The 10-week 2026 Winter Session runs from January 2 - March 6. You are welcome to join mid-session.

This class not only focuses on the many components of balance engaged through Tai Chi but also imparts Tai Chi's many other benefits, such as reduced stress and anxiety, increased strength and self-confidence, a reduced risk of falls, and the maintenance of bone density. The movements are accessible and easy to follow online as the instructor demonstrates and talks through them.

If you have already enrolled in another class for the upcoming session, registration for this class is available at a 10% discount.

Our registration system will ask you for a password to access the registration page. If you are a currently enrolled student, you will find the password in the registration email that you received. If you are a new student, please contact Lisa Rawson at 914-815-1922 before registering.

Note that this class, which works on improving physical balance, pairs well with our Online Qigong Class, which works on balancing mind and body through breathing, visualization, mindfulness, and movement. Together, the two classes create a comprehensive balance program for body and mind.
