This online class meets on Wednesdays from 10:00-10:45 a.m. and explores balancing the mind and body through breathing, visualization, mindfulness, and movement. The class is live-streamed on Zoom and recorded so that you can attend live, via the recordings at a more convenient time, or both. Unlimited access to each recording is available for two weeks after the class is held.

The 10-week 2026 Winter Session runs from January 7 - March 11. You are welcome to join mid-session.

Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is an ancient Chinese system of gentle, rhythmic movement and breathing that circulates "Qi," or life energy, throughout the body. It offers many of the same health benefits as Tai Chi, such as reduced stress and anxiety, improved balance, increased strength and self-confidence, a reduced risk of falls, and the maintenance of bone density. The movements are accessible and easy to follow online as the instructor demonstrates and talks through them.

Over the course of the calendar year, the class explores the Daoist practice of living in harmony with the yin and yang of seasonal change. We also discuss how to align ourselves with the seasons in other ways: sleep, diet, mindset. Since winter is the most yin of all the seasons—a season of dormancy and reflection—our winter session focuses on more introspective forms of Qigong. Spring and fall sessions explore Qigongs that reflect the seasonal transitions, while during the summer—the most yang of all the seasons—we focus on more energetic Qigongs.

If you have already enrolled in another class for the upcoming session, registration for this class is available at a 10% discount.
