In-Person Tai Chi Form Training

Tuesday

  • 10:30-11:30 am

In these traditional Tai Chi classes, students learn the Yang Style form, the most widely-practiced style of Tai Chi in the United States. Each class includes traditional form training and Qigong. Most classes include students with various levels of experience, although we sometimes reserve a class for beginners only. All movements are done standing or walking. 

Online Tai Chi Form Training

Tuesdays

  • 6:30-7:30 pm

This class includes Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi form training and Qigong and meets via Zoom. The class is currently studying the long form. Permission is required to register. Learn more here.

In-Person Tai Chi Stick and Saber

Wednesdays

These are the first taught of the Tai Chi weapons. Some experience in Tai Chi is required. If you are interested in this class, please contact the instructor directly. 

Online Qigong

Wednesdays

  • 10:00-10:45 am

Qigong is an ancient Chinese healthcare modality that balances the mind and body through movement, breathing, visualization, and mindfulness. The movements are easier to learn than Tai Chi but have many of the same benefits. The class is live-streamed on Zoom and recorded so that you can attend live, use the recordings at a more convenient time, or both. You can read more about this class here.

Tai Chi for Balance

In-Person Tai Chi for Balance

Tuesdays

  • 11:15-12:00 pm

  • 12:15-1:00 pm

Our balance classes draw on the fundamental principles of Tai Chi to address balance concerns. Each class includes Qigong, Tai Chi for balance, Tai Chi form, and Tai Chi walking. All movements are done standing or walking. Both classes are appropriate for all levels. If you need chair assistance or to be seated, please register for the 12:15 am class. 

Online Tai Chi for Balance

Fridays

  • 10:00-10:45 am

This class is live-streamed on Zoom and includes unlimited access to online recordings of the class for two weeks after it is held. Learn more here.

Our registration system will ask you for a password to access the registration page. If you are a currently enrolled student, you will find the password in the registration email that you received. If you are a new student, please contact Lisa Rawson at 914-815-1922 before registering.
